Coasters

Growing up in Northeast Ohio has its advantages for a coaster enthusiast. Cedar Point, the largest ride park in North America, was just 65 minutes from my  house, and over 30 other parks were within a days drive. Some of my  favorite parks up north are Kings Island near Cincinnati and Knoebel's in Elysburg, Pa. Of course, I also like my home parks Six Flags Over Texas, the original Six Flags park; Fiesta Texas with its unique quarry setting; and Schlitterbahn, consistently rated as the best waterpark in the country. The park I would have to call my favorite is Europa-Park in Rust, Germany.

Like most enthusiasts I keep a personal track record of the different  coasters I have ridden which is now more than 1,000 coasters throughout  North America and Europe. Click here to see the list.

I currently serve as the association manager for a roller coaster enthusiasts’ organization know as American Coaster Enthusiasts. I also serve on the publications, census and web site committees for the club. Some of my projects include publishing Guide to Ride 2000, a guide book to all of the roller coasters in North America, Roller Coaster Calendars for 2002 to 2018 and web sites CoasterCon.com and RCReride.com.
